Islam versus Europe

There is no religion sicker than Islam, with its teachings that non-Muslims are sub-human (‘the vilest of all creatures’—Qur’an 98:6), its Dark Age social and moral codes and its advocacy of violence, so you might expect a British Prime Minister who claims to be a Christian to praise an organization such as the English Defence League (EDL) whose mission statement reads:

the EDL will continue to work to protect the inalienable rights of all people to protest against radical Islam’s encroachment into the lives of non-Muslims.

Not David Cameron, though. On the 11th August 2011, while answering questions in the House of Commons after the riots, he said:

The hon. Gentleman speaks not only for his constituents, but, frankly, for the whole House in deprecating the English Defence League and all it stands for. On its attempt to say that it will somehow help to restore order, I have described some parts of our society as sick, and there is none sicker than the EDL.

If anything, Cameron’s attitude towards the EDL has hardened over the past year. Just before the 2010 general election, he described the EDL as:

terrible people, we would always keep these groups under review and if we needed to ban them, we would ban them or any groups which incite hatred.

So, Cameron’s verdict on those who protest against a religion with repellent teachings is that they are terrible people who incite hatred and who constitute the sickest part of British society. By contrast, his enthusiasm for Islam borders on the embarrassing; when he stayed with a Muslim family, he could barely contain the gushing:

Not for the first time, I found myself thinking that it is mainstream Britain which needs to integrate more with the British Asian way of life, not the other way around.

There we have it. A Prime Minister who—like the rest of the political élite—is encouraging and facilitating the spread of Islam, a religion that has strangled freedom and brought fear and failure wherever it has taken root. And it is spreading at speed: immigration plus the high Muslim birth rate could make Britain a majority Muslim country by the middle of the century.

Why are politicians doing this to us? To compensate for the falling indigenous birth rate, regardless of the consequences? To engineer the deliberate breakdown of national identity and smooth the way for a United States of Europe? To implement the Euro-Arab Partnership?

Perhaps it’s more mundane. Governments know that Islam and the West cannot mix but are hamstrung by political correctness from doing anything about it, so they tell whatever lies are necessary to contain the situation and then pass the poisoned chalice to their successors. In Time to Emigrate? the former Conservative minister George Walden is candid:

I’d be so alarmed by the situation that I’d do everything possible to suggest it was under control. It’s up to politicians to play mood music in a crisis, and up to the people to understand that there’s little else governments can do. The last thing they can say is that we face a threat to which we can see no end because it’s based on a fundamental clash of cultures. On the IRA we told the truth; on the Islamic problem, we lie.

Whatever the reason, the way of life that has served us so well is in danger of disappearing for good, hastened on its way by David Cameron.
