A court today acquitted former French National Front leader Jean-Marie Le Pen of incitement to racial hatred in connection with his party having used this poster in a regional election campaign last year. The complaint had been brought by the Mouvement contre le Racisme et pour l'Amitié entre les Peuples (MRAP - Movement Against Racism And For Friendship Between Peoples) and the Algerian government had also protested about the use of the Algerian national flag in the image.

Meanwhile, no whit deterred, MRAP has announced its intention of filing a complaint against the French Interior Minister, who, on Tuesday, said that the growth in the number of Muslims in France "and some of their behaviours", "pose a problem".

This and a few other judgements this year are starting to look like things maybe on the up.
Is the tide starting to turn?

Seems to be going quite well in France. The French people are waking up to the evil in their midst. No sign of a breakthrough here yet, though.
